Background
With a new platform acquisition, Ownr inherited a web application that was designed and developed in 2016. After the rebranding of Ownr, I led a design team app re-design with five major parts: incorporation creation, personal business creation, bank account creation, existing company onboarding and business maintenance dashboard.

- Drove design decision alignment with product goals
- Designed improved UI/UX
- Established a design system with a new grid system and created a component library for product consistency
- Assessed the existing product flows and created solutions
- Collaborated with a brand team to create a new accessibility-compliant color palette
- Ran user testing/research through collaboration with a researcher
- Worked closely with engineers during new design implementation and design system storybook development
- Advocated bringing in positive emotions for users, such as milestone acknowledgement when their company is officially set up

Engagement with users
Through focus group research, we've learned that small business owners go through emotions of worries and loneliness. Through small celebrations, we acknowledge their milestones of entrepreneurship journey together.
